Excellence in Technology for Emerald

23 October 2018

October was a month to celebrate for Emerald as CEO Sarah Windrum scooped the Excellence in Science & Technology Award in recognition of her hard work championing the role of IT in today's digital world.

The Award was sponsored by NoMUda Ltd, a Warwickshire based software company and developers of the Visual Factory platform enabling the implementation of lean manufacturing practices across the globe. NoMuda CEO Phil Borland was thrilled to present the Award to someone from the IT industry acknowledging "IT underpins everything".

Sarah was nominated by fellow Warwickshire businesswoman Cheryll Rawbone who also received recognition for her commitment to local charity The Friendship Project making it a double celebration!

"Sarah’s drive for positive change and her approach to harnessing the power of technology, rooted in her ideas and practice at Emerald, benefits the whole region," Cheryll wrote in Sarah's nomination. "She plans carefully how to bring everyone on the journey from the quiet leaders to the next generation. She knows technology cannot succeed without the right eco-system, skills, and infrastructure."

Sarah thanked Cheryll in her acceptance speech saying "this is for Cheryll. I would never have put myself forward for an Award like this. But you believed in me and believed in everything I have achieved."
