Meet Darren!

He's always cracking a joke. His fave saying is "Love the job you do."
and he does.. he is so passionate about Emerald. Rarely you will see Darren without a smile on his face, and he takes great pride in creating a good environment at work.

Darren was a computer fantatic from an early age and totally intrigued and curious about IT which eventually led to a BSc in IT Management. As technology has evolved he says " its been exciting to be a part of that"

Darren is definitely a people person and for him, customer service is key.

If the team don't know the answer you can bet there is one man who will.

Mobile Communications Operations Manager

Hannah began her career in hairdressing at 16 years old and made the transition to technology in 2013 starting her Emerald experience in the mobile processing team. She will admit it was a steep learning curve but a difficult step definitely worth taking!

Hannah has two beautiful children and uses technology to fit her work around her family. She is based primarily in our satellite site on the South Coast near Portsmouth.

Hannah loves to push herself to the next challenge and recently raised over £600 for The Meningitis Trust by going from Couch to 10k! She's fast-tracked her Emerald career too and is now our Mobile Operations Manager taking care of our mobile workforce customers.

Meet June - she is our 'Scheduling and Operations Manager'
Like a lot of our staff, June has been with us for over 7yrs and plays a big part within our team. Darren says "June isn't afraid to crack the whip on the engineers and Helpdesk."

It's Junes role to ensure our engineers all do what they need to do and be where they need to be. She really is the gel that holds it all together. June will also liaise between engineers and clients to make sure projects are run on time and to schedule and the engineers have everything they need to complete tasks.

Laura Summerfeild Emerald Group

Laura Summerfield
Finance Manager

Laura is the backbone of Emerald keeping cash flowing through the business! She'll be the person you speak to about your invoice queries and is responsible for ensuring all our suppliers are paid promptly too. You never know when we might need a favour so keeping all relationships healthy in our Emerald eco-system is crucial. Her background in finance is from the public sector so she's a stickler for the detail! She's studying to be a Chartered Accountant through her AATs and Robert Wood's support.

Laura has two children Chloe-Louise and Kian and is a very proud mum and wife. She's also the backbone of her extended family and her sisters Hannah and Sarah wouldn't function without her!

Matt is one of our IT Engineers who will be found on our Helpdesk team.

  • Matt has a passion for computers.
  • Loves new tech, graphics cards, gaming, etc
  • When you need to know what the latest and greatest tech is out Matt is the first port of call.

Matt came to us after working in computer shops locally and is thoroughly enjoying working in the business sector rather than retail.

John Differ Emerald Group

John Differ
Second Line Support Engineer

John came to us for work experience while he was re-training as an Network Engineer at Warwickshire College. We were so delighted with his determination and can-do attitude that we offered him a full-time position after he graduated in 2016. Since then he has gone from strength to strength and is now our road warrior out in the field supporting customers with those difficult issues that cannot be solved with remote support.

He's supplemented his Foundation Degree in Network Engineering with the current Microsoft Office 365 accreditation and technical certification with all our infrastructure partners. His background in retail means he is always focused on customer service and our clients love his attitude and work ethic.

Joel is a valued member of the team and is currently working towards his final exams.

We love training up and supporting apprentices at Emerald and regularly employ them full time after their studies so that they can continue to be awesome and on a full wage.

Joel really knows his stuff if you happen to ring Emerald, chances are Joel will answer the phone as he is super efficient.

Meet Sam, our Road Warrior!

Sam is one of the members of staff you will frequently see come to site.

  • Always a smile on his face
  • Super friendly
  • Nothing is too much bother for Sam.

Sam has been with us for around 3 years now. He started as an apprentice and has now completed his training and is a fully fledged member of staff.

Kyle Boland Emerald Group

Kyle Boland
Second Line Support Engineer

Kyle started with Emerald in 2018 on an IT Technician Apprenticeship. He is now a Microsoft Technology Associate and we are excited about supporting him on his journey to Hardware Specialist. He has quickly become an integral part of the team and we are thrilled with his progress.

Kyle has a little boy called Toby and his favourite job at Emerald is choosing the music we listen to every day in the office!
